Not a game. A verdict. For the table you are actually sitting at.
You are here tonight, all of you, and the tab is real. Tell the raven how many are drinking. Then the table numbers off, so when he names a drinker, everyone knows exactly who that is. He will count the table, consult nobody worth consulting, and name who pays. Thirty seconds. No appeals. The goat handles appeals, and he eats them.
Two to twelve drinkers. No names, no accounts, no warm up questions. Whoever he names pays tonight, in the real world, with real money. That is the entire game.
Number off around the table. Before the count, everyone needs a number, or the verdict is just a rumor. Go around the table out loud: one, two, three, all the way around. Point at each other. Say them like you mean them. When the raven names Drinker Number Three, the whole table should know exactly who is reaching for his wallet.
Numbers claimed out loud are binding under tavern law. Disputes are settled by the goat, whose rulings are final and usually wrong.
I'm pretty sure the goat did it.
